Regulatory Context
FOG Compliance in Florida
Florida food service facilities are governed by FOG pretreatment rules under the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and local utility authorities. Miami-Dade Water and Sewer, JEA (Jacksonville), Tampa Bay Water, and Orange County Utilities all operate formal FOG Control Programs. Requirements typically include interceptor installation and sizing per local code, pumping every 30–90 days depending on usage, certified hauler manifests, and three-year record retention. Florida's warm climate can accelerate FOG buildup, making more frequent maintenance critical.More Contractors in Florida
