About
Black Gold Industries (BGI) has provided environmental management services from its Oxnard headquarters since 1982, serving government, military, and private sector clients throughout California and beyond. Their grease trap and interceptor program covers the full service cycle: evacuation of accumulated grease, certified inspections, preventative maintenance planning, grease line jetting and televising, regulatory reporting, and disposal compliance — for systems ranging from small kitchen traps to large commercial interceptors. BGI also manages oil-water separators and hazardous waste streams, making it a comprehensive environmental compliance vendor for multi-site food service and industrial operators requiring consistent regulatory documentation. Additional offices in Northern and Southern California extend their coverage area.

FOG Compliance in California
California food service facilities operate under some of the nation's strictest FOG regulations. The State Water Resources Control Board oversees pretreatment, while regional water quality control boards and local agencies enforce specific FOG Control Programs. Most jurisdictions—including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Sacramento—require interceptors sized to local standards (typically 1,000+ gallons for full-service restaurants), cleaning every 30–90 days, electronic manifests through certified haulers, and three-year record retention. The California Grease Trap Law (Health & Safety Code §17922.12) mandates interceptor installation in most commercial kitchen scenarios.More Contractors in California
