About
Kauffman's Grease Pumping Service is a family-run business operating from El Cajon and serving the full San Diego County region since 2012. Owner Sharon Kauffman handles grease trap cleaning, grease interceptor pumping, holding tank cleaning, clarifier sump service, and kitchen grease collection for restaurants and commercial kitchens. The company is known for tackling non-standard installations, including suspended garage-mounted traps that other operators decline to service. Flexible contract-free maintenance schedules and free estimates are available, with emergency response throughout the county for urgent grease overflows and line blockages.

Regulatory Context
FOG Compliance in California
California food service facilities operate under some of the nation's strictest FOG regulations. The State Water Resources Control Board oversees pretreatment, while regional water quality control boards and local agencies enforce specific FOG Control Programs. Most jurisdictions—including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Sacramento—require interceptors sized to local standards (typically 1,000+ gallons for full-service restaurants), cleaning every 30–90 days, electronic manifests through certified haulers, and three-year record retention. The California Grease Trap Law (Health & Safety Code §17922.12) mandates interceptor installation in most commercial kitchen scenarios.More Contractors in California
